Reviews of Sonnets
The minute I started reading I was totally captivated. I have reread this several times. It's as tho he's actually reading to you. Mr. McKenzie is a truly gifted poet.
Highly recommend!!

Not something you'll want to read quickly. Read slowly and repeat... let your own thoughts come through. And they will. Scott's heart opens to you... a beautiful read.

I’m an avid poetry reader, and Scott’s poetry ranks in the top three. Beautifully written, these sonnets calm my mind and transport me to limits set only by my own imagination. Highly recommend.

Scott Alexander is a talented poet and Patriot!!! His poetry is full of raw emotion. Each Sonnet is from the heart & I can feel who he is with each one as he allows his life experiences to fill the pages.

I’m rarely grabbed by poetry. Most poetry eludes me. But when a writer’s word stretch me beyond my knowing, and simultaneously reach into my knowing, I feel a little bit bigger than when I started. Power and subtlety in every line! This creates a want for more. I wanted more, and bought both volumes. These poems string words together like draped pearls. They are rich and not overstated. Easy to savor every line. They are on Christmas lists for friends who have everything!!!

Each sonnet takes you on a journey of love and life. Parallel to what you may have experienced but never had the exquisite words in which to write out the feelings. Scott does this so eloquently. I love to read and re-read each sonnet and digest each one again and again, every time feeling something different, something stirring.

This is such a great collection of poetry!! There is a thought-provoking variety and something for everyone!! I started with Volume II, then Volume III was published, so I bought the entire set. If you’re trying to choose, don’t. Make your day, or a friend’s!! You’ll be thankful you did and make someone smile!!
